Transplanting Outdoors

Space your bare-root canes or potted plants about 2-3 feet apart. As you transplant, keep an eye on the weather forecast. We can still get some unexpected temperature dips in early spring, so be ready to cover your young plants if a late frost threatens.
Watering Raspberry in Zone 7B (Mid-Atlantic)
Raspberries need consistent moisture, especially during our moderate-to-hot and humid summers. Aim for about 1-2 inches of water per week. The finger test is your friend: stick your finger about 2 inches deep into the soil near the base of the plant. If it feels dry, it's time to water.
